Privacy Policy

SoulTrace is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide you with personality assessment results.

What We Collect

When you take our assessment, we store:

  • Your answers - The 1-7 scale responses you provide (just numbers, no text)
  • Question IDs - Which questions you answered
  • Color distribution - Your calculated personality distribution across our 5-color model
  • Archetype result - Which of our 25 archetypes you matched
  • Assessment version - For consistency in results

That's it.

What We Don't Collect

We explicitly do not collect or store:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • IP addresses
  • Device fingerprints
  • Location data
  • Browser information
  • Any personally identifiable information (PII)

How Your Data Is Stored

Your results are stored with a randomly generated ID (UUID). This ID is only in your browser's URL - we have no way to link it back to you as a person. Even we can't identify who took which assessment.

Data is stored in Upstash Redis, a secure cloud database with servers in the EU.

No Account Required

We don't have user accounts. No login, no registration, no profile. You take the test, get your results, and that's it. If you clear your browser history, even you lose access to your results.

Payments

If you purchase a premium report, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. The only payment-related data we store is a Stripe reference ID to verify your purchase.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how people use the site. See our Cookie Policy for details on what tracking we use and how to opt out.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

  • Access your data - Your results page shows everything we store
  • Delete your data - Contact us and we'll delete your result
  • Portability - Your results page displays all your data

Since we don't collect PII, most data protection regulations don't strictly apply, but we respect these rights anyway.

Data Retention

Results are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion. Since results aren't linked to any personal information, keeping them has no privacy impact.

We'll update this page if our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
